Frankie Valli denied reports of his retirement on Friday (August 14) via Instagram, stating: “In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired.”
The clarification came after his brother Bobby announced earlier in the week that Valli was retiring, writing: “HE WILL NOW RETIRE. WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE SPECIAL MEMORIES OF FRANKIE VALLI. HE HAS REACHED A PLACE IN HIS LIFE WHERE HIS FAMILY IS THERE TO LOVE, CHERISH AND TO BE THERE FOR HIM.”
Bobby subsequently apologized on Facebook, saying: “I apologize, I was misinformed. I was under the impression my brother Frankie was retiring. Hoping for him to have a speedy recovery to continue his illustrious career!” He removed the retirement announcement from his original post.
Valli, 92, canceled tour dates earlier in 2026 following his May birthday to focus on his health.
