Foo Fighters joined the LA Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl for a one-off concert celebrating departing Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel. The band performed a 15-song career-spanning set with a full orchestra and choir under Dudamel’s direction.
The setlist included fan favorites “All My Life,” “Learn to Fly,” and “Best of You,” alongside several live rarities: “I Should Have Known” from Wasting Light (first performance since 2012), “Razor” from In Your Honor (first since 2006), and “Home” from Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace (ninth performance ever).
The performance came during a pause in Foo Fighters’ “Take Cover Tour,” which resumes in mid-September following a festival appearance at Rock in Rio in Brasil and a one-night opening slot for AC/DC. Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters previously collaborated with Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic at Coachella 2025.
Dudamel concludes a 17-year tenure as Music & Artistic Director of the LA Philharmonic and will become music director of the New York Philharmonic beginning with the 2026–2027 season.
