The band played a roughly 100-minute set of 15 songs, including several rarities: “A320” (absent from setlists for 25 years), “I Should Have Known” (last played in 2012), “Razor” (last performed in 2006), and “Home” (last played in 2007). Frontman Dave Grohl told the crowd the band would play “as many things as we can” rather than their usual three-hour set, choosing songs that best suited orchestral arrangement.

Notable performances included “My Hero” with brass arrangements, “The Sky Is a Neighborhood” featuring a choir, and “Run” with a string opening performed by members of YOLA (Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles). “Aurora” was dedicated to late drummer Taylor Hawkins. The orchestra dropped out during several songs, including “A320” and “Aurora,” to allow the core band to play extended passages.

Dudamel conducted without extensive commentary during the show. The concert also featured a 15-minute opening suite, composer Aldemaro Romero’s “Fuga con Pajarillo,” performed by the full orchestra alongside Venezuelan musicians including Eduardo Betancourt, Jorge Glem and Moisés Torrealba.

Dudamel is departing Los Angeles to become music director of the New York Philharmonic. Fans online began requesting a commercial release of the performance.
