Sombr surprised Lollapalooza fans in Chicago on Thursday night, bringing out 5 Seconds of Summer during his set on the T-Mobile mainstage to perform “She Looks So Perfect.”
The singer, dressed in all-black with a lace T-shirt, feather-adorned coat, and boa, drove onto stage in a car from backstage before introducing the band. “Ladies and gentleman, the greatest band in the fucking world, 5 Seconds of Summer,” he said.
Sombr commanded the stage throughout his set, covering the full length of the T-Mobile mainstage, which featured New York street signs. He performed recent releases including “My Body Isn’t Ready,” “Potential,” and “Homewrecker.” Rolling Stone named “Homewrecker” among the best songs of 2026, describing it as “a hazy plea to a lover who has a partner waiting at home” that features a bass line by former Prince collaborator Wendy Melvoin.
Following his Lollapalooza performance, Sombr will embark on a North American tour this fall, culminating with a show at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 23.
