Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” has crossed 1 billion views on YouTube, marking the band’s second entry into the streaming platform’s Billion Views Club.
Released on the 1978 album Jazz, the track peaked at No. 86 on the U.S. Hot 100 in 1979 but reached No. 9 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart. The song has been featured in commercials for Toyota, Amazon, Pfizer and L’Oréal, as well as in the 2004 film Shaun of the Dead and a trailer for American Idol.
“Don’t Stop Me Now” appears on Queen’s 1981 Greatest Hits collection, the best-selling album in the United Kingdom with 1,216 weeks in the Official Albums Chart Top 100. The track received renewed attention following the 2018 release of the biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody, which became the highest-grossing musical biopic of all time.
Queen first entered the Billion Views Club in July 2019 with “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The song has been covered by Katy Perry, The Vandals and Glee, and McFly topped the U.K. singles chart with a cover in 2006.
