Jon Bon Jovi ended his concert at Madison Square Garden after 90 minutes on Thursday night, apologizing to the packed arena for the abrupt conclusion.
“Don’t throw away your ticket stubs, I’m gonna figure something out,” Bon Jovi told the crowd from stage. “Just hold onto it, we’ll figure out how to reschedule. But I’m gonna have to cool it for the night. I feel great. I’ll see you again soon, goodnight.”
A spokesperson for Bon Jovi said the singer has been battling a sinus infection, which led to the early ending. Before leaving the stage, Bon Jovi hugged his bandmates and gave fans a thumbs up.
The show was part of Bon Jovi’s residency at Madison Square Garden. Bon Jovi launched his Forever tour earlier in July, four years after surgery for a strained vocal cord prompted him to step back from touring. In June, he told People magazine, “I’m fully recovered,” adding that the recovery period was longer than expected but necessary.
